NSW Contingent Badge Unveiled
In answer to our call for entries to design the 2013 NSW Contingent badge, our Contingent Executive Committee was thrilled to see submissions from almost every region in the state. Well done to the many talented artists and designers in NSW!
After reviewing the many entries for suitability and to make sure they met the criteria, the NSW Contingent badge for AJ2013 was unveiled over the weekend at the State Jamborette.
The feedback from NSW Scouts at Jamborette was very positive. They liked the badge design. And they especially liked our kookaburra ‘mascot’ who is featured on the badge.
Many Scouts have already suggested names for our kookaburra. If you want to suggest a name, visit us on Facebook at AJ2013 NSW Contingent and make your suggestion.
Thank you to the many people who submitted their designs. Elements of two designs were incorporated into the final badge design.
Congratulations to both Rachel Emde (1st Tumbi) and Cassie Rec (1st North Rocks) for being joint winners of the competition. Rachel and Cassie will be contacted by Belinda Francis, AJ2013 Director of Media and Promotions (NSW Contingent), about the prize.
