Jamboree at Cuboree
The AJ2013 NSW Contingent marketing team attended the Cuboree at Cataract from January 10th to 12th. The team ran a base to inform the Cubs about Jamboree and get them prepared for an even bigger adventure in two years time.
Many of the Cubs knew about Jamboree from having visited AJ2010 on future Scout day. Others had siblings or other Scouts from their group who went to AJ2010. This still left many who knew little about Jamboree. All the cubs who attended one of the sessions learned more about Jamboree and all were keen to go and experience such a large camp.
Strangely many of the Cubs were not excited by the prospect of doing their washing in a Jamboree washing machine. Although we did have two Cubs who were so keen that they wanted to know if they could do their ironing at Jamboree as well!
A letter was also given to the leaders to distribute to the Cubs to take home and inform families that AJ2013 is on the way.
