Some additional Jamboree information has become available including some details regarding application approval, transport and newsletters.
Application Approvals
Ensure that parent(s) or guardian(s) where applicable sign the indemnity (Leaders, & Rovers sign themselves).
Obtain the required signatures as follows:
- Scouts:
- Scout Leader, Group Leader and Regional Commissioner (Scouts)
- Venturers:
- Venturer Leader, Group Leader and Regional Commissioner (Venturer Scouts)
- Leaders/Rovers:
- Group Leader/Crew Leader(Rovers) or next appropriate level of Commissioner and Regional Commissioner (Scouts)
Please note all applications should be forwarded via your Scout Group with a Scout Group Cheque to your Regional Office.
Transport
- Travel arrangements will be co-ordinated by the Contingnet and advised by your Region Liaison Leader in due course.
- The above Jamboree fee includes the cost of transporting all troop equipment and bus travel to and from the jamboree.
- There will be no reduction in the Jamboree fee for members of the contingent wishing to travel independantly.
- Independent travel by Troops is not permitted. Line Leaders must travel with their respective Troop.
Contingent Newsletters
Applicants who have been accepted will receive 3 Newsletters from the Contingent. You can expect to receive: Newsletter No 1 (May 2012), Newsletter No 2 (Aug 2012), Newsletter No 3 (Nov 2012). Receival of the newsletters does not imply approval of application to attend.
Medical Obligations
SHOULD YOUR MEDICAL CONDITION CHANGE FROM THE INFORMATION PROVIDED ON THE MEDICAL STATEMENT IN ANY WAY, PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FOR THE JAMBOREE, IT IS YOUR OBLIGATION TO ADVISE THE CONTINGENT IMMEDIATELY OF SUCH CHANGE.
